Brenda grew up surrounded by gardens and fields of flowers at her parents’ rural home in central Texas, and, under her mother’s guidance (and assisted by her much older brother’s college textbooks) developed an interest in botany at an early age. In her early teens, Brenda started growing her own gardens and arranging the flowers. Her passion for nature and art flourished over the years. Brenda began her work as a benevolent event designer and floral artist for friends’ weddings, fundraisers and corporate soirees. Having spent many years in the corporate world, Brenda decided in 2006 to expand her passion into a full time business, although she doesn’t consider it work at all…just extremely hard play!
Since that time, her clientele has come to know Brenda to be, as her friends have known for decades: extremely creative, talented, energetic, down to earth, and dependable.
Brenda has long been a student of nature, architecture and art, and it is there she finds her inspiration…assisted of course by classes at the prestigious Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University and numerous other talented floral artists who share their expertise via the many continuing education events Brenda attends.
Brenda’s work has graced the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa, where she enjoys the coveted title as a preferred provider for weddings and corporate events. She has completed scores of weddings for many happy brides across the state, and her work has graced some of the most prestigious social events including governors’ balls, international corporate conventions, and The Wedding Guide’s 25th Anniversary Ball.

You’ll see her face on our billboards and possibly at your event! She is not only the face of Brenda Abbott Floral Design, she is the spitting image of Brenda Abbott (okay…some 20 odd years ago…). As you may have surmised, Ashley is Brenda’s daughter, and one of the life forces of getting this cutting edge boutique off the ground. Her spirit and her encouragement have been invaluable as has her keen eye and hand on the pulse of hip young brides, because, she too was just a short while ago, one of our clients. (She’s the one you’ll see in the pink wedding gown.) Ashley keeps our look young, vibrant, and sleek.
